Recruiting:

2021 four-star defensive back Corey Collier Jr., son of former Florida State defensive back Cornelius Collier, has FSU in his top 10:

Football:

Memphis’ athletic director Laird Veatch spoke about Mike Norvell, giving his former head coach and Florida State’s current man plenty of compliments.

Here’s a sample:

“He’s an incredible coach. You all hit a home run, no question. Most impressive for me, there are no holes in his game. Mike’s the epitome of what you want in a head football coach.

He’s one of those unique people who’s wired a little more different and a little more special than most everybody else.

The culture he created. … the team you walk around with that’s obviously doing very well on the field but you feel very proud of off the field. All those things combined into one leads me to be very confident that (FSU) has hired a great coach.”

A great update in Janarius Robinson’s story:

Florida State’s football facilities got ranked No. 20 in the country by 247Sports:

As part of a new five-year plan announced in September 2018, Florida State will join college football’s arms race with a stand-alone football facility that will be built adjacent to the Dunlap Athletic Training Complex at a cost of $60 million. The Seminoles upgraded their current locker rooms at Doak Campbell Stadium in 2014 and has since added a nice player’s lounge which puts FSU near the top of the ACC (but behind others of similar program prestige). With noticeable enhancements elsewhere nationally, the Seminoles tumbled a couple spots in these rankings since last season.

Baseball:

The grind never stops for resident baseball expert Brett Nevitt, who continues his relentless pursuit of preseason coverage with this profile on senior first baseman Nico Baldor.
