A perfect record to start the season against less than stellar competition keeps FSU right where they started in D1Baseball’s poll. Florida State swept Youngstown State including winning both games of a double header on Saturday.

Dropped out of the Top 25 Wake Forest — 20
Noteworthy
- Florida dropped 2 spots after struggling to start the week. The Gators lost to South Florida (6-1), North Florida (7-1) and then Miami (5-2) before taking the final 2 games from the Canes in Coral Gables. FSU travels down to USF this week.
- Wake Forest has certainly struggled out of the gates this year. Losing early in the year to Illinois is not a big deal nor is losing a game to Elon but combine that with dropping a game to Quinnipiac is more than enough justification to drop them out of the rankings. However, this is a good Wake team and they’ll surely bounce back.
- Texas Tech has looked quite impressive since dropping their opening game to Oregon. They took the other 2 games against Oregon and swept Kentucky at home including a 19-4 bludgeoning.
