The day has come for No. 10 Florida State to hit the dance floor in Hartford; at 1:50 pm today, you can tune in on TBS to catch the 4-seed Seminoles’ opening game of the 2019 NCAA Tournament, in which they’ll play the 13-seed Vermont Catamounts. The ’Noles opened as double-digit favorites, but that line has moved some, as I discussed yesterday, down to 8.
This is where we’d typically include a preview of the game, but we’ve kind of split that into a couple of different approaches for this game, given the time we had to prepare. First, our Matt Minnick assembled a first-look at UVM, including what Michael Scott may call “general specifics,” including key stats from the Catamounts’ season, as well as some more general information about FSU’s first-round opponent.
Speaking of Michaels, our Michael Rogner then watched some Vermont games, cobbling together for our readers a scouting report on UVM. Congrats: by reading these pieces, you now know as much about the Green Mountain State as anyone whose hands are not caked with maple syrup.
As always, the comments section below will serve as our game thread.
