Florida State hoops dispatched of 13-seed Vermont on Thursday afternoon, and now the 4-seed Seminoles move on to the NCAA Tournament’s round of 32, where they’ll meet Murray State, the West’s 12-seed that topped 5-seed Marquette yesterday.
The ’Noles and Racers will tip from Hartford, Connecticut, on Saturday at 6:10 pm in FSU’s first true road game of the tourney. Our Michael Rogner and Matt Minnick will have a couple of different previews up for you later today, but we figured we’d push this information along as soon as possible, so you could plan your weekend appropriately. Because, ya know, priorities.
But in the meantime, what do you think of this game time? The ’Noles get started right in the heart of the action, as three Saturday games get started before the Seminoles, and four after. One other note, which I think is tough to dispute as a positive: this is the first game being played in Hartford on Saturday, meaning that it should tip on time. So the teams shouldn’t have to wait around in a hallway while a previous game goes long. And normalcy tends to benefit the favorite.
Also, I’ll have a full reset of the bracket coming out early on Friday morning, focusing on the Seminoles’ West region.
