The Sweet Sixteen begins on Thursday, and 4-seed Florida State will get things going against 1-seed Gonzaga in the West region. The Seminoles and Bulldogs will have the nation’s attention, tipping off first at 7:09 pm Eastern time in Anaheim, California. The FSU-Gonzaga prime-time rematch from last year’s West semifinal will be broadcast nationally on CBS.
Sweet 16 schedule: Thursday 7:09 CBS: Florida St.-Gonzaga; 7:29 TBS: Purdue-Tennessee; 9:39 CBS: Texas Tech-Michigan; 9:59 TBS: UC Irvine/Oregon-Virginia. Friday 7:09 CBS: LSU-Michigan St.; 7:29 TBS: Auburn-N. Carolina; 9:39 CBS: Va Tech-Duke; 9:59 TBS: Ohio St./Houston-Kentucky.— David Worlock (@DavidWorlock) March 25, 2019
The ’Noles are going from one coast to another, traveling from Hartford, Connecticut to the Golden State, after topping 13-seed Vermont and 12-seed Murray State. The Zags will have less travel, heading to the west coast after taking care of business in Salt Lake City, Utah against 16-seed Fairleigh Dickinson and 9-seed Baylor. But given the break between games on Saturday and Thursday, the Seminoles should have ample time to adjust to the time change.
