FSU started the week in mixed fashion, losing to UCF, before beating FIU. The Seminoles came back strong and took two of three on the road against Notre Dame. A 3-2 week isn’t going to catapult a team up the polls, but it’s good enough for a small bump in D1Baseball’s polls.

Dropped out of the Top 25 Michigan — 24
Noteworthy
- As expected, the SEC is a tough conference. They possess five teams in the top-10 and a staggering nine of the top-15. Over the weekend, Vanderbilt swept Florida, Mississippi State took two of three from Auburn, and Georgia took two of three from LSU. All those teams are ranked this week.
- NC State continues to have a very good season. A week after taking a series against FSU, the Wolfpack swept a young (but good) Miami team on the road. The Pack don’t really wow you with their numbers, but the consistency throughout the lineup and bullpen have them in the top five.
- Georgia Tech could a problem. After starting off ACC play with a series loss to Miami, the Yellow Jackets have picked up steam. GT took a series from Virginia last week and almost swept Louisville on the road this week. The Jackets are tied with five other teams (including FSU) at 5-4 in conference play.
FSU in other polls
- FSU held steady at 21 in Baseball America’s poll.
- FSU also checks in at 21 in the Coaches’ Poll.
