Florida State (22-13) had a good week going 3-1 with a sweep over No. 16 Clemson. Unfortunately it was not enough for the ‘Noles to crack D1Baseball’s rankings.

Noteworthy
- The Pac-12 is dominating the top five with three entries in UCLA, Oregon State and Stanford. UCLA swept eighth ranked East Carolina, Oregon State took two of three from No. 13 Arizona State and Stanford beat up on un-ranked Washington. Combined with Louisville’s bludgeoning of of NC State and Georgia falling to Tennessee by not scoring a run in the first two games of the series the Pac-12 filled the void.
- After only losing three games to start the season NC State has now dropped five straight starting with a Sunday loss to Boston College, the Wolfpack fell to Coastal Carolina in the mid-week before getting hit hard hosting Louisville. The Cardinals put up two touchdowns in each of the first two games of the series before settling for two field goals in the finale.
- The ACC now has six entrants into the top 25 with Miami being the most recent. Miami swept Virginia on the road this weekend giving up just one run on Saturday and Sunday each while Clemson barely held on to their ranking after getting swept in Tallahassee. Georgia Tech continues to climb following up their series win against North Carolina with a win at Boston College. North Carolina took two of three at Notre Dame and NC State and Louisville were previously discussed. The ACC trails just the SEC, who has eight teams in the top 25.
FSU in other polls
- Florida State also failed to crack Baseball America’s top 25.
