Football:

Apparently things weren’t officially official after the spring game draft, but now, with the release of the Garnet and Gold rosters, things are officially officially official for Saturday when Florida State takes on Florida State in a thrilling high-stakes match.

Defensive end Xavier Peters is currently serving a suspension for violation of team rules. There’s no known timetable on his return.

Recruiting:

2020 four-star Florida State quarterback commit Jeff Sims is more than ready to start playing for the Seminoles and their brand new offensive coordinator.

Four-star offensive lineman Chris Morris included FSU in a group of schools that have the potential to rise up in his rankings (though the one school he’s hopeful to hear from might disappoint you).

Basketball:

Former Seminole (and new dad) Malik Beasley threw down a nasty dunk against the Spurs on Thursday:

Other Sports:

Meghan King, who hasn’t allowed a run in 33.2 innings, shut out the Gators in a 2-0 victory on the road, bringing the No. 3 Seminoles to a 36-3 record.

Freshman Florida State golfer Frida Kinhult was named ACC Golfer of the Month after a March that saw her take first and third place in two events. Kinhult is currently the No. 1 ranked women’s college golf player.

Here’s a cool feature on former Seminole football player Wayne Messam, who has launched a presidential bid after serving as mayor in Miramar, Florida.

Florida State’s annual contribution campaign exceeded the school’s $500,000 goal by over $200,000.
