(4) Florida State Seminoles (54-8) will begin their seventh straight super regional (eighth overall) when they welcome the (13) Oklahoma State Cowgirls (42-14) to Tallahassee. The super regionals are a best of three series that will be played from May 23-25. Tonight’s game and tomorrow’s game will be played at 7pm while Saturday’s game (if necessary) will be played at noon. All games of the Tallahassee super regional will be played at JoAnne Graf Field at the Seminole Softball Complex and will be broadcast on ESPN.
Florida State advanced to the super regionals by defeating South Carolina 7-6 to win the Tallahassee Regional. Oklahoma State advanced to the super regionals by defeating Tulsa 2-1 to win the Stillwater Regional.
The probable starters for tonight’s game are Meghan King (29-5, 1.42 ERA) for Florida State and Samantha Show (19-7, 2.35 ERA) for Oklahoma State. The winner of the super regional will advance to the Women’s College World Series in Oklahoma City.
