As first reported by Noles247; FSU has added another offensive lineman to its 2020 recruiting class. Three-star offensive lineman Alex Atcavage has committed to FSU without even taking a visit. Originally from Pennsylvania he’s transferring to IMG Academy for his senior year. He chose FSU over offers from Rutgers, Illinois, and Connecticut.
At 6’5 285lbs, the IMG Academy product has completely transformed his body. This is what he looked like his freshman year:
#FloridaState offered OL @AlexAtcavage today & it immediately had a major impact on his recruitment (VIP) @joshnewberg247 @CNee247 @JohnGarcia_Jr @247fbrecruiting @RUscarletnation https://t.co/RfqxHMJz5H

He’s lost 65lbs since his freshman year in high school.
Atcavage is a versatile offensive lineman. He’s played both interior positions and offensive tackle while in HS and will spend his senior year at right tackle for the Ascenders. He’s the second offensive lineman to join FSU’s 2020 recruiting class; joining three-star offensive guard Zane Herring.
FSU has cast a very wide net on the offensive line recruiting trail this year and is not done at the position. Three-star offensive linemen Thomas Shrader & Richie Leonard are both set to commit over the next few weeks & FSU in a good position to get at least one of them.
FSU’s 2020 recruiting class now ranks 16th in the country with 13 commitments; eight of them being of the blue-chip variety.
