How will the ’Noles fare in the Atlantic?

Last week the ACC media descended upon Charlotte in hopes that we might hear something newsworthy through the ample clichés about how the team is buying in and getting after it in the weight room. In other words, basically everything Dabo Swinney says:

Our strength coach always says they don’t put championship rings on smooth hands. You’ve got to put the work in.

“Greatness never goes on sale. You’ve got to pay full price every year, and you’ve got to prove it.

If you ever need a motivational quote to put on the wall of a gym or a cut off shirt, just ask Swinney.

One thing that did come out of media days was the poll generated by the votes of all 173 credentialed media members in attendance.

Each member voted on how the ACC table will look come December, and it comes as no surprise that Swinney’s Clemson Tigers are the heavy favorite to take home their 5th straight conference title.

FSU is predicted to finish third in the Atlantic behind Syracuse, who got two votes to win the Atlantic, as well as two votes to win the conference outright. It seems some are buying in to what Dino Babers is building up in Syracuse. To their credit, ’Cuse has been fantastic under Babers and have challenged and beat Clemson over the last few years.

Virginia was voted the favorite over in the Coastal, just ahead of Miami. The Cavaliers not only got the most votes to win their division, but also received one vote to win the conference.

The entire poll can be found below:

Any surprises? Who is too low or too high?
