#Tribe20 continues to be hot on the trail as FSU has landed its third commitment in a week; this time it’s four-star wide receiver Ja’Khi Douglas. FSU pulled him from Terrebone high school in Houma, Louisiana.
The 5’9 190lb speedster is a big commitment for FSU ranking 208th nationally, 37th at his position, and eighth within the state of Louisiana in 247’s National Composite Rankings. Unless you’re Alabama not many top ten recruits are leaving Louisiana.
He choose FSU over offers from Florida, Alabama, Auburn, and Colorado. It was a quick recruitment for Douglas to FSU. He was offered on January 8th, he visited on Junior Day April 6th and he committed on Independence day, the fourth of July. Coach Dugans was instrumental in pulling the talented wide receiver to Florida State.
Fireworks outside and fireworks on the trail for FSU after many ‘Nole fans were lamenting the lack of recruiting momentum during the month of June.
The first thing you notice about Douglas on film is his compact size, speed, and balance. He’ll play in the slot and likely be a return man for FSU once he arrives.
Ja’Khi Douglas is the 15th commitment for FSU’s 2020 recruiting class and the ninth of the blue-chip variety. FSU’s 2020 class now ranks 12th with its big summer camp just around the corner.
