Football:
The ACC Network launches at 7 p.m. today, with a two-hour special that will share “the passion, history, innovation and excellence of the ACC.” Heisman Trophy winner and former New York Knick Charlie Ward will be part of the special, so rest assured that Florida State will at least be mentioned once over the course of the two hours.
Florida State head coach Willie Taggart was a big focus of an article by The Undefeated looking at an NCAA program is looking to help black coaches further secure bigger opportunities.
Here’s a story on how Florida State worked on transforming themselves physically to move on from the 2018 season.
Hopefully, running back Cam Akers will be able to run more than two yards before being touched this year. Jacques Patrick, at least, is supportive of his backfield compatriot:
In every mess there’s a message. I can’t wait to see you remind people of who you are this year. @thereal_cam3 https://t.co/fRAw8MIFLO

Transfer quarterback Alex Hornibrook got some work with the first-string offense today, switching out James Blackman as the team ran through hurry-up and pace drills:

Tight end coach Telly Lockette is confident in FSU’s tight ends heading into 2019.
Linebacker Leonard Warner was back out at practice on Wednesday.
Here’s a nifty stat comparing Boise State and FSU’s fumble luck last year, with Bud Elliot putting it into context. With a number as high as 13, you’d have to think there’s potential for a regression for the Broncos this season.

In case you didn’t see, here’s Tomahawk Nation’s roundtable on fantasy Florida State football matchups.
Boise State is breaking down Kendal Briles’ Baylor and Houston game film to get ready for the season opener vs. the Seminoles, but they still don’t have a quarterback.
Three questions for the comment section:
Would you take 8-4 right now if you could?

FSU runs more 3-4 in each of its first 4 FBS games than it will in the entire month of October.

1. what’s the strongest animal you could kill without a weapon
2. what’s the weakest animal that could kill you if you didn’t have a weapon
And one present for the comment section:
We didn't see practice today, but Tate Martell is in a post-practice meeting with skill positions. He's wearing white rather than the quarterbacks' usual orange.

Basketball:
FSU announced a new* student section on Wednesday, looking to solidify a home court advantage that’s amongst the best in the country:
