Seminole Nation, rejoice!
Florida State Football Head Coach Willie Taggart announced today that the numbers on the garnet home jerseys will return back to their traditional white on garnet look.

Since 2014, Florida State’s new uniforms have featured gold numbers on the garnet home strip. The gold numbers are decidedly harder to see, with the lack of contrast and color reminding fans of Boston College’s look rather than the traditional Seminole uniform. Though Seminole fans will have to wait until the 2020 season, the traditional look is back.
On top of bringing back the white numbers, Taggart revealed that the 2019 season would feature all white uniforms for road games:
Willie Taggart with some uniform news: Team will wear gold helmets, garnet jerseys and gold pants at home; gold helmets, white jerseys and white pants on the road.

Home uniforms will remain the traditional Garnet and Gold. Road uniforms will be white top and bottom, reminiscent of away games such as Clemson in 1988 and Notre Dame in 2018.

The white numbers were a white hot issue with the FSU fan base, and the constant barrage of FSU social media accounts seemed to have worked.
However, it remains to be seen if #KeepThisChief will have the same effect.
