Louisville is a must win game; FSU can’t let UVA beat them twice

Football:

Being 1-2 sucks but this isn’t the same team as last year; progress is being made but it might not be quick enough for Willie Taggart to see it through.

Unfortunately it was a two steps forwards, 1.5 steps back kind of situation as the familiar bad habits of the 2019 FSU team showed up in the end.

Here’s what we learned on offense and defense following the road loss to UVA.

FSU picked a bad year to not have a good defense because aside from Clemson the ACC is just not very good this year.

FSU has opened as an eight point favorite vs. Louisville.

What’s wrong with Trevor Lawrence? The Clemson sophomore dynamo has been turning the ball over at a Jameis’ 2014 like rate.

Recruiting:

Demorie Tate is FSU’s highest rated commitment and his commitment is rock solid.

2021 WR Chrisitian Leary has been offered by Florida State:

FSU QB commitment Jeff Sims had six touchdowns vs. Nease.

Other Sports:

A 5-0 victory over Villanova; FSU soccer is ready for ACC play:

Some bad news for women’s hoops; Sayawni Lassiter is done for the year after a knee injury during off-season workouts.

Alumni:

Green Bay’s defense is much improved this year and yet Dalvin Cook still went for 154 yards vs. that group including this very familiar looking run:

I couldn’t even be mad about it:

If Dalvin keeps running like this he’ll be collecting the NFL’s rushing title at the end of the year, welcome back Chef.

Bruce Arians is considered a QB whisperer and if he can get Jameis Winston to continue to value the ball like he did on Thursday the Buccaneers are going to have a good season.
