Yesterday, we wrote about how Florida State football may have just signed its first five-star recruit since 2017. Leonard Hamilton and the Seminole cagers don’t look like they’ll be dealing with that kind of drought in the near future.
In 2019, the ’Noles signed five-star small forward Patrick Williams. And FSU has already signed five-star 2020 small forward Scottie Barnes. And now a 2021 five-star point guard has named Florida State to his list of top-10 schools.
Kennedy Chandler (6’1, 160) runs the point at Memphis’ Blaircrest Christian School, where he’s currently considered the country’s No. 2 PG prospect, the No. 2 player from Tennessee, and the 15th best player overall in the class of 2021.
Chandler already has an official visit planned to Florida State on February 2, a day after the Seminoles play at Virginia Tech, but just a day prior to when they host North Carolina.
Speaking of UNC, it’s one of the other schools in Chandler’s top 10. The other eight: Duke, Michigan, Memphis, USC, Tennessee, Ole Miss, Kansas, and Kentucky.
