Notre Dame is a 21-point favorite over Florida State — is that lower or higher than you thought?

The two schools have a long, storied history — Austin Cox took a deep dive into the matchups between FSU and Notre Dame, from Rashad Green heroics to the first-ever on-location College Gameday.

Head coach Mike Norvell briefly touched on his own personal history with Notre Dame during yesterday’s availability, and we also got the chance to hear from linebackers coach Chris Marve, running back La’Damian Webb, defensive back Meiko Dotson and linebacker DJ Lundy.

“[I’ve been] on staffs that played Notre Dame like four out of five years, whether it was at Tulsa when we went up there, in Pitt the one year we played them and then two years at Arizona State.”

Some other news we got from Norvell was that freshman defensive back Demorie Tate, who was FSU’s highest rated signee in the 2020 class, will be taking an academic redshirt year.

Defensive back Cyrus Fagan made his departure official on Wednesday, posting a farewell letter.
