Seminoles try to bounce back after first loss of the season against No. 1 UW

The 5th-ranked Lady ‘Noles opened up the St.Pete/Clearwater Elite Invitational with a loss against No. 1 Washington earlier this afternoon. UW took advantage of some early struggles from Caylan Arnold with two big home runs to open up a 4-0 lead on the ‘Noles. The offense was never able to get going after stranding multiple opportunities to get back in the game. The Seminoles will look to get back on track as there’s lots of softball left to be played in Clearwater this weekend.

Tonight, FSU will get another top 25 test against No. 13 Minnesota. The Golden Gophers enter the game 3-3 after dropping their first game of the Invitational to No.16 Oklahoma State this morning.

Tonight’s game against the Gophers will be on ESPN3. Our new contributor Gwyn Rhodes has made the drive down to Clearwater and will keep you updated in the game thread below (yes, we got her account to work now).
