No. 8 FSU basketball vs. Syracuse: Preview, Vegas line, how-to-watch, game thread

FSU hosts the Orange for the first time in two years

NCAA Basketball: Florida State at Syracuse Mark Konezny-USA TODAY Sports

The ‘Noles look to bounce back from their hard fought loss at Duke. Now Syracuse (14-10, 7-6) is in town, and the ‘Noles absolutely need to win these kinds of games to maintain hopes of getting a 2 or 3-seed to the NCAA Tournament. Matt and Michael previewed the game on the latest pod. (APPLE // SPOTIFY) The preview starts at the beginning.

The Orange’s best player - Elijah Hughes - injured himself in warmups on Tuesday and will be a game time decision. In his absence four players played at least 37 minutes in what is a limited rotation for Jim Boeheim who rarely trusts his young players. The Orange take and make a ton of 3s, which is the formula for pulling road upsets.

Who will win?

Ken Pomeroy FSU 79%

Vegas line FSU -9.5

How-to-watch

The game tips at high noon from the Donald L. Tucker Center and will be broadcast on ESPN2.
