Head coaches of Florida State past and present (and maybe future, lucky potential audience member!) will be speaking at Florida State’s first annual Sports Analytics Summit, as Mike Norvell and Bobby Bowden are both set to speak, along with several other notable names.

Basketball:

No. 17 Florida State women’s basketball will take on Wake Forest tonight, and head coach Sue Semrau, along with the rest of her staff, will be coaching the entire game barefoot as part of work with a charity called Samaritan’s Feet. She’ll also be donating a dollar for each fan in attendance on Thursday.

In a Bleacher Report mock draft, sophomore Devin Vassell is getting drafted by the Portland Trail Blazers.

Baseball:

Other Sports:

Florida State senior diver Molly Carlson captured silver in the one-meter at the ACC Swimming and Diving Championships.

Rian Covington, a swimming prospect out of Jacksonville, has verbally committed to the FSU program.

Junior John Paak, who in 2019-20 holds a 69 stroke average, has been selected to the Ben Hogan Award watch list, given annually to the top men’s NCAA Division I, II or III, NAIA or NJCAA college golfer taking into account all collegiate and amateur competitions during a 12-month period from June to May (say that five times fast.)

Florida State junior hurdler Trey Cunningham was named ACC Performer of the Week for the fourth time this season after breaking school and conference records in the 60-meter hurdles.

The Florida State beach volleyball team has five players, a program-record, on the Coastal Collegiate Sports Association Preseason All-Conference Team.
