The Florida State Seminoles picked up an all-important Quad 1 win vs. the North Carolina State Wolfpack. After breaking down what went well (hello Malik Osborne and M.J. Walker), what didn’t (and why four guys played 20 minutes in the 2nd half), we do a deep dive on FSU’s resume through a tournament filter. Want to know why the Seton Hall Pirates (19-7) are competing with FSU for seeding? You get your answer. As well as how a wild Saturday on the national scene potentially shook up the standings.
Then it’s back to the Louisville Cardinals. FSU has a huge rematch with the Cards, and absolutely needs to win to have a legitimate shot at the ACC regular season “title.” Chris Mack’s squad got hot after losing at home to Florida State, but then went through a rough spell while their star Jordan Nwora struggled. But all appears back on course as they crushed the North Carolina Tar Heels on Saturday, and Nwora had a ho-hum double-double.
At the end we briefly mention the silly stat lines being put up by players committed to FSU. Rogner gets so excited talking about it that he forgets to mention that 5* PG Kennedy Chandler begins his official visit today. If you want to know what recruiting 5*s is like, yesterday Chandler was at Rupp Arena watching the Kentucky Wildcats...who just so happened to get a surprise visit from John Wall. What a coincidence!
