Florida State is now the highest-ranked team in the ACC and will take on the Louisville Cardinals tonight. The Chris Mack’s squad had a bounce back week with blowout wins over the Syracuse Orange and North Carolina Tar Heels.
Despite the top 10-ranking and 23-4 record, KenPom still doesn’t think too highly of the ‘Noles, ranking them 21st. The offense moved up from 40th to 38th while the defense rose from 18th to 16th. The NCAA’s NET ranking has Florida State 12th.
FSU currently sits at third in the ACC standings, but would jump to number one with a win tonight. The Seminoles locked up a double-bye in the ACC tournament with their win over the Wolfpack.
The Seminoles are currently looking at a number two seed in the NCAA tournament. A win tonight would go a long way in putting a hold on that seeding. FSU will look to keep their 20-game home winning streak intact tonight.
