Tonight’s game between UCF and FSU has been cancelled due to field condition after a nasty day in Tallahassee.
Tonight, No. 9 FSU softball hosts their second mid-week game against the UCF Knights. The ‘Noles return to the ‘Plex after a tough Clearwater Invitational and an off weekend. After dropping four of five games in Clearwater, Lonni Alameda and the ‘Noles look to bounce back at home.
UCF received votes in the USA Today, are at 25 in D1softball and 21 in Softball America. They are coming off an impressive weekend at the USF Tournament, where they swept #12 Tennessee. The Knights will enter tonight’s matchup with an impressive 13-2 record.
FSU’s lineup made slight changes throughout their time in Clearwater, but will now see some permanency. With Anna Shelnutt injured, freshman Kaia LoPreste will most likely take over the catching duties.
