Williams is the second straight Florida State player to be named to the award, following in the footsteps of Mfiondu Kabengele.
Forrest finished second in voting for the league’s top defender, while he and Devin Vassell were both named to the All-ACC Second Team.
“If you look in the Webster Dictionary and you see student-athlete, his picture is right next to it, with a Seminole on his shirt,” Hamilton said about Forrest following Saturday’s ACC regular season title-clinching win over Boston College. “He’s a good student. He’s a good leader, very well respected. He probably could run for mayor, as a write-in candidate in Chipley and win by a landslide.”
Florida State starts ACC Tournament play this Thursday, facing the winner of Clemson and Miami.
