Podcast: Interview with former FSU basketball player David Nichols

On the latest podcast (APPLE // SPOTIFY) former FSU point guard David Nichols joins Matt and Michael for a wide ranging interview covering his time at Florida State. He also provides some great insight into upcoming NBA draft picks Devin Vassell and Patrick Williams. Nichols played a season with Vassell, and got to scrimmage with Williams in the summer as he was wrapping up his graduate degree. The interview starts around the 31:00 mark.

Prior to the interview, we talk about the State of Florida’s new name, image, likeness law which will allow players to make money off of their own image. Though the law doesn’t go into effect until July 2021, Florida leap-frogged California’s timeline with their legislation, but expect a bunch more states to jump in now. Once you have Florida and California, everyone else is going to get on board.
