With an extra year of eligibility for everyone and only five rounds of the draft, college baseball rosters are set to be as loaded as ever. On the flip side, the transfer portal is also as loaded as ever. Last month, the ‘Noles saw sophomore Cade Hungate and Grad SR Jake Suddreth enter the portal. Today, freshmen Tyrell Brewer and Ryan Pettys have entered their names into the portal, per D1Baseball’s transfer tracker.

Brewer came into FSU as the 14th-rated 2B in FL and was expected to be an impact player his freshman year. He started the second game of the season and was looking to be a platoon-starter, but the hot play of Tyler Martin kept him out of the lineup. He saw action in 10 games, but only had 11 at-bats with 2 hits.

Pettys was set to redshirt in his freshman season. The southpaw couldn’t find a spot in a loaded ‘Noles bullpen. He came to FSU rated the #2 LHP in the state and the 145th best player in the nation.
