How can Florida State Seminoles football be bowl eligible? They’re 0-1 with ten games left on the schedule? That’s because the NCAA has officially started the process of moving bowl season up along with declaring every team eligible:
Bowls can begin as soon as Dec. 1 and every team is bowl eligible.

This is some kind of season. https://t.co/1PHRcFbHpu
For a team that missed spring because of covid breaking in a new coaching staff the guarantee of a bowl game and the extra practicest that come along with bowl prep is a big deal.
Now FSU would like to officially become “bowl eligible” by winning the requisite six games but with this news now you know you’ve at least got some post-season football.
Schools must continue to meet Academic Progress Rate requirements for postseason eligibility.
The committee’s recommendation requires approval by the Division I Council, which is scheduled to meet Oct. 13-14. The recommendation recognizes the impact of COVID-19 on the 2020-21 playing season.
“Providing a more flexible framework for the postseason in this unprecedented time will provide some certainty moving forward,” said Shane Lyons, director of athletics at West Virginia and chair of the oversight committee. “These are important postseason opportunities for our student-athletes, and this will help everyone to prepare.”
Now how this affect the conference championships, & the playoff schedule and other bowl games remains to be seen but for now FSU and every other FBS school can plan on playing football in December.
