Florida State at Miami - 7:30 PM ET
Watch: ABC (more on how to watch)
Listen: ‘Nole Radio Network
Weather: Mentally prepare yourself for a weather delay, again. There will be around a 40% chance of rain at kick off tapering down to a 25% chance by the end of the game. A forecast like that, in Florida, means it could be crystal clear skies or a 2 hour deluge. Temperature will be comfortable enough at around 81 degrees. Winds S at 5 mph.
The Spread: Miami opened as an 11 point favorite. The line currently sits at Miami by 10.5 to 11.5. Read more about the spread here.

Welp, 2020 continues to do 2020 things, despite college football starting. Well, kind of starting. Last week, Florida State University fans got a frustrating reminder of how far this program has to go. Certainly there were plays to be made, there were holes for running backs to hit, passes hit WR’s hands but not caught, tackles to be made in space and whiffed. Execution seemed inches away by the second quarter and by the end of the game, miles away. Perhaps a spring season with all the practices and scrimmages would have helped a first year coach trying to right a program in an utter tailspin but I digress.
After a week off, Florida State has the daunting task of trying to fix all the little things that snowballed into a loss. They get to do that, on the road, against hated rival Miami. Oh and let’s pile on the fact the head coach is stuck in Tallahassee communicating via Zoom or...whatever.
Florida State is unlikely to win this game. Staff predictions and Vegas/bettors agree with that. What we still need to see is improvement, even if it is against much better competition. Getting this program fixed is going to take a lot of time, clearly. Wins may be few and far between. We’ll have to look a lot closer to see how the new staff is changing the culture at Florida State.
