Florida State football announces student stadium seating plan

Students will get to attend games — but at limited capacity

Florida State Seminoles football has its official plans for student section seating for the 2020 season, following similar capacity restrictions announced for season ticket holders as precautionary measures against the spread of COVID-19.

In an email sent out to the student body which can be seen below, a lottery system will be used which is tiered based on academic standing. Seniors will receive four entries into the lottery scaling down to freshman receiving a single entry. Only 4,000 seats will be available for Florida State students, 25% of the usual capacity.

One thing remaining from season’s past is the opening window date. Students will be able to request their entry into the lottery beginning on the previous Sunday of each home game with the winners notified later in the week. This is in line with the rest of the capacity limitations at Doak Campbell Stadium which will welcome a max crowd of 20-25% of the normal capacity.
