Football:

With the game five days away FSU has moved to a 12 point favorite against the Yellow jackets.

The opening-game policies and stadium rules differ significantly from last year’s opener for obvious reasons one of which includes no tailgating.

Another tradition from Memphis has come with Norvell; any football player with a 3.0 GPA or higher will be sporting a special patch this fall.

Week 1 for the ACC and Big-12 is here which doesn’t project to feature a lot of close match-ups.

Florida State ranks 23rd in ESPN’s initial Power Rankings; notably ahead of Miami which checks in at 25.

Imagine telling somebody five years ago that Florida State would go three straight seasons without winning more than seven games. Hard as it is to believe, the Seminoles last won more than seven in 2016, and Mike Norvell will be their third different coach since 2017. FSU needs a big year from redshirt junior quarterback James Blackman, who will look often for Tamorrion Terry, who averaged 19.8 yards per catch and pulled in nine touchdown catches a year ago. The defense, led by All-American tackle Marvin Wilson, also adds several key transfers.

Gene Deckerhoff joined Packer and Durham to talk about his most favorite FSU calls of all-time.

Recruiting:

We’ve got three overreactions from our favorite coach after Luke Altmyer’s senior season debut; one thing that’s not an overreaction: That kid is very good.

2022 Louisiana offensive tackle Emory Jones broke down his recruitment to FSU.

2022 four-star CB Daylen Everette knows all about FSU’s DBU tradition.

2022 Five-star CB and FSU commit Travis Hunter, Jr. is ridiculous:

Other Sports:

Jalen Warley’s junior mixtape is on point; the five-star future Seminole is going to do quite well in Tallahassee.

The schedule is here for ACC Volleyball:
