The Triple Option: What does McKenzie Milton bring to FSU?

What can we expect from FSU’s new QB?

It has been clear for a while that Florida State head football coach Mike Norvell has wanted to overhaul this roster dramatically since he stepped on campus.

The first step in this process is getting rid of players that don’t meet your standards. With several players opting out or entering the transfer portal I think it’s safe to assume that he has accomplished this.

The second, and arguably more important step, is bringing in talent to replace those leaving. While Mike Norvell’s recruiting class was pretty pedestrian by FSU’s standards his class of transfers is starting to come along nicely. These veterans to the college game might get fewer games wearing Garnet and Gold but what they lack in longevity they make up for with quick impact. FSU is in sore need of some impact players and no position on the field makes a bigger impact than the quarterback position.

McKenzie Milton is the big-fish quarterback Norvell was able to bring along with him in the portal. Many people may know that he led the 2017 UCF team to a National Championship* but some might not have ever watched him play. So what should we expect from this new quarterback? Join the Triple Option guys as they look at a game Milton played against Mike Norvell’s Memphis Tigers and try to answer that question and more.
