NCAA Basketball: ACC Conference Tournament-North Carolina Florida State Nell Redmond-USA TODAY Sports

Florida State playing for the ACC Title? You bet. For the 2nd time in three years, FSU will be playing on Saturday and be one of the last two standing in the conference. Since FSU was awarded the automatic bid to the dance last year, you have to go back to the 2017-18 season to find one where FSU wasn’t competing to cut the nets down. It was 2012 when FSU got to cut down actual game-used nets, rather than the muted celebration last year.

Much like the last time these two teams faced off, FSU dominated the first half, but also left a feeling like the lead should be more (it was 11). Then, UNC came out swinging in the 2nd half and pretty much dominated. The difference, this time, was that the Seminoles regrouped just in time to grind out the win.

We talk (APPLE // SPOTIFY) about what went right in the game, and what went wrong.

After that segment we launch into the Georgia Tech preview. It’s been a couple of months since these two teams played, and GT has been playing great ball down the stretch. They only had to beat 13-seed Miami (of FL) to reach the finals, so they haven’t exactly been tested. They should have played Virginia today, but the Hoos had to go home after a player tested positive.

We wrap up with a quick discussion about other happenings in basketball, including a UF player nearly knocking out an opponent on a dirty play.
