A top 100 four star defensive end from the 2022 class has de-committed from the Florida State Seminoles football program. Nyjalik Kelly, out of Dillard High School in Fort Lauderdale, has seen his stock rise quite a bit in the last year, and it was expected FSU would have to fight tooth and nail to hold on to his commitment. Kelly was the 3rd highest rated commitment in Florida State’s 2022 class.
Kelly committed in August of last year and was in attendance for the FSU Spring Game on April 10. FSU still has Aaron Hester committed and is pursuing Marvin Jones Jr and Kenyatta Jackson, but losing a talent like Kelly is a blow. Expect the Seminoles DE board to continue to expand in the summer months. The Florida Gators and Miami (FL) Hurricanes have picked up communication with Kelly as of late. It’s unclear at this time if Kelly is still interested in FSU.
