Florida State landed a commitment from Javonte Seabury Saturday. Out of Orlando (Fla.) Timber Creek High School, Seabury plays slot receiver, running back and returner.
Seabury stands 5'9 and weighs 165 pounds. He is a consensus three-star recruit, with offers from Miami and Kent State..
Seabury is not a lock to qualify, and will have to work on his academics in the coming semesters.
He is, however, extremely fast. Seabury reportedly ran sub-4.4 40-yard dashes at Miami and Georgia Tech camps.
In a related note, Seabury happens to be the brother of superstar 2015 running back Jacques Patrick. Patrick, a five-star according to many, also of Timber Creek. This is, of course, a coincidence. Patrick had a great relationship with running backs coach Jay Graham.
This is the 20th commitment of Florida State's 2014 class.
