Thursday Practice Report

The Noles took to the practice fields on a windy day in Tallahassee as they continue to prepare for their trip to Pittsburgh.

Jimbo Update:

Mario Pender is ruled academically ineligible, according to Fisher. Apparently the same grade that held him out earlier in camp.

P.J. Williams just a little dinged up but should be fine.

Cam Erving will also be fine.

With their trip to Pittsburgh only days away and college football beginning Thursday night, the Florida State Seminoles look to continue their momentum as they prepare for the season opener. The players were in shorts and pads.

P.J. Williams was not at practice today. Jalen Ramsey was in Williams' usual spot, while Ronald Darby shadowed Lamarcus Joyner.

Cam Erving was fully dressed  today but limited.  Jonathan Wallace was working as the first team left tackle in place of Erving. I will say that Erving didn't seem to be injured, but we won't know until we talk to Jimbo.

Marquez White was working exclusively as a wide receiver today and seemed pretty comfortable running ball drills.

Reggie Northrup was shadowing Terrance Smith today.  Freddie Stevenson, however, was not running with the first or second team. He was actually wearing a white jersey, which is meant for offense, but I didn't see him working on anything but kick return coverage. I'll have to keep a closer eye on that.

Austin Barron was walking around without crutches today for the first time, so it looks like his recovery is coming along nicely.

Jimbo Fisher will speak after practice today.  A lot of questions to be answered so we'll keep you posted.
