Jimbo post-practice updates:
Fisher finally confirmed that the door is closed for Ira Denson making it back on the team.
Fisher said Ronald Darby is fine and is right on pace for his return. Should be back in drills next week and fully back the following week.
The moment is finally here.
The Florida State Seminoles took to the practice fields Wednesday afternoon for their first spring practice of the year. It's obviously the first of many practices, so tread lightly.
The starting defensive line -- as of now -- seems to be a combination of Mario Edwards Jr., Chris Casher and Demarcus Walker on the ends, with a combination of Desmond Holland, Niles Lawrence-Stample, Derrick Mitchell and Eddie Goldman in the middle.
In the secondary -- as of the first day -- Jalen Ramsey and Nate Andrews were back in the safety spots, as expected, with PJ Williams and Nick Waisome out wide. By the way, Jalen Ramsey looks amazing.
*Ronald Darby was dressed out but didn't participate.
*Kain Daub was also there, but not dressed out, due to previously mentioned eligibility issues.
Trey Marshall was taking a lot of reps with what looked to be the second team, too.
The linebacker corps was a combination of Terrance Smith, Markus Eligwe and Reggie Northrup, with Matthew Thomas also taking reps.
Lots of guys getting reps at wide receiver, as expected. Scooter getting a good amount of looks on the outside, opposite Greene.
Stephen Gabbard and Danny Adams both taking snaps as the long snapper.
Telvin Smith and Terrence Brooks were hanging out today.
*There were some different numbers being worn today, but FSU says they're not official, so I'll wait until the official roster is released in the next few days before we post them.
