It was another hot one in Tallahassee as the Florida State Seminoles took to the practice fields to kick off Oklahoma State game week. FSU released a two-deep depth chart during Jimbo Fisher's press conference, one that included a 3-4 defensive set, a set they did not run during Monday's practice.
Colin Blake, Markus Eligwe and Matthew Thomas were again not dressed. Delvin Purifoy, who I had marked down as a no-show, made a late entrance to practice using crutches.
Tyrell Lyons, who has missed quite a bit of practice, was back in pads Monday.
Ronald Darby and P.J. Williams were back and fully participating with the starters on defense, something that has been expected all along. It is good to see them back out there. The defense mostly showcased the 4-2-5, the formation we fully expect to be their base set.
The offense worked on a couple heavy sets that were intriguing, one of which included Mario Edwards Jr. and Freddie Stevenson lead-blocking for Karlos Williams. I don't care who you are, that's not an easy one to stop.
Jimbo Fisher will not speak following Monday's practice.
