Following their first day in full pads Friday afternoon, the Florida State Seminoles entered the practice facility early Saturday morning for their first two-a-day.
The first morning practice always seems to be testy as the players get into the full swing of things, and Saturday morning didn't prove to be any different. A few unnamed players were still wiping gunk out of their eyes as practice began, and they heard about it from the coaches.
Ryan Green, Markus Eligwe and Kevin Haplea were again not dressed out Saturday morning, and Travis Rudolph, who dressed but didn't participate on Friday, was back to not being dressed out Saturday morning as well.
The San Francisco 49ers sent a representative to the morning session of the first two-a-day.
Cam Erving continues to cross-train at center, and while he does so, Kareem Are slides into left guard and Josue Matias into left tackle. Wilson Bell, who many have been wondering about, has been taking reps at third team right guard and seems to have been passed up.
Matthew Thomas has found a home alongside Terrance Smith and the back-and-forth that has been Reggie Northrup and EJ Levenberry.
As I've been pushing for for a long time, John Franklin was finally taking some reps during some of the wide receiver drills Saturday morning.
In Kevin Haplea's absence, Ryan Izzo was taking reps with the first team.
Kick return team consisted of the following players Saturday morning: Karlos Williams, Kermit, EJ Levenberry, Freddie Stevenson, Mavin Saunders, Tyrell Lyons, Nate Andrews, Lamarcus Brutus, Reggie Northrup, Scooter Haggins and Christian Green.
The afternoon session will be closed to the media, and Jimbo Fisher will not speak until tomorrow's Media/Fan Day.
