It's the Florida State Football Film Review. Every week we break down the result of the previous Florida State game. Who really played well for the Seminoles? Which players played poorly? Where did the coaches do well, and when did they screw up?
All analyzed plays will eventually appear in the Florida State Film Review section of the website. We do not analyze plays in garbage time.

Observations
- 20 points and 5.4 yards/play is not good. Neither is three points in the first half. That’s a concerning trend. But FSU did some things well.
- Deondre Francois is really tough. That’s probably a quality that cannot be taught, as opposed to some of the areas on which he is still working.
- Mixed up personnel a lot in this game. Used heavier sets than normal, for sustained periods. The combination of Izzo and Saunders going forward could be really nice for Florida State.
- Involved bigger receivers. Tate and Saunders saw increased game time with the increased use of 22 and 10/01 sets.Ran much more RPO in this game. Francois did a very good job overall of making the correct choice between keep/give/throw.
- Francois does not do a good job changing arm angles or recognizing throwing lanes - it’s too easy to block his passes. Still takes too many hits, both from not getting down on runs and from not throwing with any anticipation.OL got great push all day in run game.
- Miami DC Manny Diaz called a great game. Some really well timed blitzes, stunts, coverages, etc.
- Drives, especially in the first half, were ended by things you normally wouldn’t expect: Dalvin missing a cut, 2 drives tanked by Maguire, a bobbled snap, and an overthrown easy TD.
