Florida State football, recruiting news: Five-star FSU target moves up commitment date

Recruiting:

• Five-star DE target Joshua Kaindoh announced he will make his commitment announcement on Friday, sooner than he earlier announced. His IMG teammate Tre’ McKitty committed to Florida State earlier this week. According to 247 Sports Composite rankings, Kaindoh is ranked the No. 21 overall player in the nation and second best weak-side defensive end.

Football:

• Was the ACC the best division in college football this past season? Bill Connelly of SBN argues that it definitely wasn’t the Big Ten.
• (SATIRE) - With some of the projected first round picks in the 2017 NFL Draft electing to sit out of their teams’ bowl games, Jim Harbaugh will skip the Orange Bowl to prepare himself for the NFL as well. (SATIRE)
• Florida State football head coach Jimbo Fisher received a contract extension through the 2024-2025 season. Bud Elliott broke down the contract by what it includes as well as implications for recruiting and future seasons.

Other Sports/Alumni:

• Florida State Men’s basketball won its final non-conference game of the season over Samford. The ‘Noles will enter the grueling ACC conference play with an 12-1 record.
• In the newest AP rankings, FSU Men’s basketball moved up to No. 21.

Revisiting last night's Bucs-Cowboys game...Jameis Winston was pressured on 10 of 16 snaps in the fourth quarter alone Sunday, the second-most pressures Winston's seen in the fourth quarter all season. 14.3 percent completion percentage on those plays with two interceptions.
