Reactions to Florida State’s exhilirating Orange Bowl victory over Michigan

Hear from FSU alumni, players, and recruits after the Seminoles’ big Orange Bowl victory.

Florida State football defeated the Michigan Wolverines 33-32 Friday night in the Orange Bowl, despite entering the contest as a touchdown underdog. After a Deondre Francois to Nyquan Murray touchdown pass gave FSU a 3-point lead with 0:36 on the clock, Michigan made things interesting by blocking Ricky Aguayo’s PAT and returning it for two points, meaning they only needed a field goal on its to win the game.

The ‘Noles final defensive stand in 2016 was a successful one, as Carlos Becker intercepted a Wilton Speight pass on 4th down to give Jimbo Fisher another 10-win season (6th in the last 7 seasons). It was an exciting game throughout, with FSU going up big early, only to relinquish the lead late in the fourth quarter to a surging Michigan team. Although the game was just played, it’s an instant classic that will be watched for years to come.

With the victory, many people with Seminoles ties, be it former players, coaches, or current players, were excited to see FSU pull it out. Here are some of those reactions:
