Recruiting:
- Florida State is expecting a handful of visitors this weekend ahead of National Signing Day on February 1st.
- Five-star RB Khalan Laborn, who earned his fifth star in the latest rankings, will be traveling down from Virginia. Laborn’s ranking in the 247 Composite skyrocketed from No. 41 to his current spot at No. 28. The 5’10 199 lb. all purpose running back has been committed to the ‘Noles since early July.
- Offensive tackle commit Brady Scott will also be making the trip from his native Georgia. The three-star prospect held offers from nine other schools and has visited campus two times prior as well as attending camp at FSU.
- Three-star commit DT Cory Durden will be making his official visit after five previous appearances on campus and two camps. His teammate, four-star DT commit Ja’len Parks will be joining him. Parks is the second-longest tenured commit visiting this weekend, making his pledge in July of 2014.
- Days before Parks made his announcement, D.J. Matthews, four-star receiver from Jacksonville, made his commitment to FSU. Matthews was supposed to enroll early before announcing he would stay in high school for the spring to play basketball in honor of his friend.

Football:
- FSU DB Derwin James seems to be making great progress on his return from meniscus surgery.
- Florida State is losing many offensive weapons from its 2016 team, including RB Dalvin Cook and WR Travis Rudolph, to the NFL Draft. How will the ‘Noles replace the lost production from those key offensive weapons?
Other Sports:
- Former FSU basketball player Okaro White made his NBA debut with the Miami Heat last night.
