Florida State wide receiver Nyqwan Murray led the Seminoles with five catches for 81 yards in Florida State’s victory over Duke on Saturday.

After the game, Murray spoke extensively about true freshman QB James Blackman, saying he has continued to progress and that the whole team has his back.

Murray was just one of multiple players to show their support and pleasure with how James Blackman is playing despite being an 18-year-old starting quarterback in one of college football’s toughest conferences. Derwin James also spoke highly regarding the rising of Blackman.

The Orlando, Fla. native is starting to turn things around after a slow start to the year. Fisher said last Monday that he needed to catch more passes and run better routes. In his past two games, Murray has 120 receiving yards on eight catches.
