A tip from a reader caused us to look at ticket prices for Louisville Cardinals v. Florida State Seminoles game Saturday.
“I just listed my five $75 face value season tickets for Louisville for $12 on stub hub to stay competitive. Wow”
Sure, Florida State has had a rough season at 2-3, but this is the last decent FSU home game of the year. It’s a huge opportunity for some revenge on Louisville. And though Louisville has also had a poor year, it is also an opportunity to see some points as Heisman Trophy winner Lamar Jackson comes to town.
These ticket prices are shocking. As of Wednesday night, a fan can go on StubHub and get four tickets on the home (under the shade) 45-yard line, row 16, for $50/each. In previous years those seats could have easily gone for 3-4x that price.
If you only need two, but still want to sit on the sideline, there are two on the 45-yard line, row 18, for $45/each. Go up a few rows in the same section and find two for $39/each.
Head over to the visitor’s side, and you can sit a family of five on the 45-yard line for $60 bucks. TOTAL.
There are hundreds of tickets for less than $10.
This isn’t normal. This is the second best home game of the season, and fans are unloading their tickets for a third of face value.
