Plenty of empty seats at Louisville vs. Florida State

There were a lot of empty bleachers inside Doak Campbell.

Attendance has been a topic of discussion at Florida State home games this season, whether that be due to the team’s 2-3 record or the noon kickoff time against Louisville. Hours before kickoff, you were still able to buy tickets at the 30-yard line, 20 rows from the field for $7— Yes, seven dollars.

Last home game against Miami, there were chunks of sections completely unfilled until roughly half way through the first quarter. As you can see below, the number of fans inside Doak at kickoff vs. Louisville wasn’t high.

Doak Campbell Stadium holds 79,560 patrons and the all-time record was over 84,000 against Miami in 2003 prior to the installation of the Champions Club which reduced the capacity by roughly 1000.

Even with the struggles, Louisville, who is still over .500, was looked at as the second biggest home game heading into the season behind FSU’s matchup vs. Miami.
