Brian Burns says Florida State football will “be alright”

Burns still has confidence despite the 2-4 start.

NCAA Football: Florida State Media Day Melina Vastola-USA TODAY Sports

After Florida State’s loss to Louisville on Saturday, defensive end Brian Burns was still hopeful about the future of the team.

“Once we get everyone together and on the same page, we’ll be alright.”

He was also asked about FSU’s chances on making a bowl game. The Seminoles sit at 2-4 and need to finish the season 4-1 with games at Boston College, Clemson, and Florida and home games vs. Delaware State and Syracuse.

“Right now, I don’t focus on a bowl game or things like that. Of course we want to make it to a bowl but we gotta take every game one by one. Every game one by one.”

Burns, in his sophomore season, was asked about which leaders are stepping up in the locker room. He listed off Alec Eberle, Josh Sweat and Derwin James among others.
