FSU tweaks running back depth chart for Boston College

7 up?

NCAA Football: Florida State at North Carolina State Rob Kinnan-USA TODAY Sports

Last night, we broke the news that Florida State running back Jacques Patrick would miss significant time with a knee injury, and that was confirmed by Jimbo Fisher today. I penned a piece about what this may mean for the Seminoles moving forward, speculating that Cam Akers’ role would increase (of course), as well as heightened playing time for Amir Rasul— and maybe even Ryan Green.

And FSU’s latest depth chart certainly does nothing to refute those suggestions. With Patrick completely removed from the depth chart for Friday night’s game at Boston College, Akers now occupies the top spot alone. The magical “OR” remains to characterize the RBs below him, although there’s a shuffling in the order. In previous depth charts, the order had been Patrick, then Akers OR Green OR Rasul. Now, after Akers, it’s Rasul OR Green, the sophomore having leapt the redshirt-senior to be listed first at RB2.

The remainder of the depth chart, which remains unchanged, is included below.
