On Monday, Florida State defensive end Jacob Pugh talked about the season so far after the high preseason expectations fell short.

After talking about the ups and downs, he compared it to a nightmare.

The main reason he cited was the lack of player leadership on the Florida State team. He compared this year’s team to the 2014 roster and said that there are good players on the current squad, however a lot of them have their priorities already locked in on the NFL Draft as opposed to this season. The senior added that there is no real leadership among the players.

He then added, “It’s too late to demand leadership.”

This shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise as Fisher has said to the players, focus on individual goals and the upcoming NFL Draft.

Florida State enters Syracuse, its eighth game of the season, with a dismal 2-5 record.
