After Florida State’s third loss of the young season, this time to Miami, Matthew Thomas spoke about the attitude and mentality of the locker room.

“It’s kind of disappointing. We came out and should’ve won the game. We had a couple of mistakes. Some four or five plays determined the outcome of the game like coach always says, but we are going to keep our heads up and move forward. We still have a lot to play for, we have a lot of pride, so we are going to get back to work on Monday.”

The senior linebacker from Miami, Fla. had two tackles, one pass break up, and a TFL in the loss.

Thomas said that the team was just simply trying to stop Miami on that final drive, and didn’t choose between preventing a field goal or a touchdown.
