While Florida State will not be in the newest polls released on Sunday, it still has opponents that are, including Miami, the team FSU lost to on Saturday.
In the AP Poll on Saturday, Alabama (No. 1), Clemson (No. 2), Miami (No. 13), Louisville (No. 17), Florida (No. 23) and NC State (No. 24) were all in action. Of those teams, Louisville and Florida lost and should both be out of the top-25 in the newest polls.
In the USA Today Poll, No. 1 Alabama, No. 2 Clemson, No. 12 Miami, No. 17 UL, No. 20 Florida and No. 24 NC State all played. UL and Florida, just as in the AP Poll, should both drop out of the top-25 after their losses.
These teams could have implications on when or if Florida State returns to the top-25. By defeating difficult opponents, it would boost its strength of schedule.
